Location in Saxony-Anhalt

Neuermark-Lübars is a district of the municipality of Klietz in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany).

geography

The Neuermark-Lübars district is located on the eastern edge of the Elbe lowlands, in an extensive flatland between the Elbe and the Schollene region , a wooded terminal moraine arc . The closest cities are Tangermünde , Jerichow and Stendal .

history

Neuermark was in the possession of the von Randow (Randau) family for more than 100 years , who bought it from a Caspar von Kostitz on June 24, 1482. Owning the estate included hunting rights , fishing rights on the Elbe and a third of the Kirchlehn to Neuermark, Lübars and Klietz , as well as its own jurisdiction .

It was only on Friday after Kiliani (12 July 1601 jul. / July 22, 1601 greg. ) The Good Neuermark for 6000 was guilders at Asmus of Wöldicke sold after the last owner, Caspar von Randow, died on 26 February 1599.

On September 30, 1928, the main part of the Neuermark manor district with the rural community of Neuermark, the 5 ha exclave of the manor district in the Lübars field with the Lübars rural community and the 26 hectare exclave in the Klietz field with the rural community Klietz united.

On July 1, 1950, the originally independent communities Neuermark and Lübars from the district of Jerichow II were incorporated into the community of Klietz. As early as January 1, 1957, the districts of Neuermark and Lübars were spun off from the municipality of Klietz and merged to form the new municipality of Neuermark-Lübars in the Havelberg district. Until December 31, 2009 Neuermark-Lübars remained an independent municipality.

On June 16, 2009, the municipal council of the municipality of Neuermark-Lübars decided that the municipality of Neuermark-Lübars should be incorporated into the municipality of Klietz. This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2010.

coat of arms

Seal Neuermark.jpg

Blazon : "Divided by blue and silver, above a swimming silver goose at the division, below three blue fish (2: 1)."

The goose refers to Neuermark as a former border fortification against the Slavs, because geese (instead of dogs) were used as guard animals at that time, as they start to make a noise at the slightest disturbance. The fish symbolize the former fishing island Lübars in the Elbe.

The above picture was already worn in a modified form as a sleeve patch by the volunteer fire department. It was therefore the decision of the former municipality to include a heraldically correct coat of arms in the approval process based on this symbolism, which was implemented in 2003 by the municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch .

Historical seal image

The former community of Neuermark already had a coat of arms-like seal image in its community seal. This was used in the period after the Second World War until around the introduction of the districts and counties in the GDR (1945–1952). Another source is the County Home Museum in Genthin.

Attractions

Caspar von Randow's tombstone can still be seen in the Neuermark church. Above over two coats of arms of Randow it bears the names Caspar von Randow and Mattheus von Randow , below the names Anna von Hohenbosen and Anna von Schwarttenholtt with the associated coats of arms.

The tombstone presumably covered a family funeral of the von Randow in Neuermark. This suggests that the names of the two Randows and those of the two women - presumably their wives - were apparently later chiseled, as they are arranged in a rather messy manner between the coats of arms, whereby they were also arbitrarily separated. The names of the two women are also in German, those of the Randows in Latin.

In the middle of the tombstone is the following text:

ANNO DOMINI 1599 THE 26 FEBRUARY OF THE MORNING VMB 2 VHR IS THE NOBLE HONOR'S EVE CASPAR VON RANDOW IN GOD THE HERN BEHIND THE SOULS GOD GNEDIG · VND · BARMHERTZIG · SEY · AMEN

JOB 19

I KNOW THAT MY SAVIOR LIVES AND HE WILL WAKE ME AFTER AVS OF THE EARTH AND WILL BE GIVING MY HAVT VND WITH THIS WILL SEE GOD IN MY FLESH I WILL SEE ME VND MY AVGEN IN SCHAWEN VND NOT A STRANGER
