In 1937 she completed her training as a nurse , moved to Barcelona and worked in an orphanage during the Spanish Civil War. In 1939 she crossed the French border with 180 orphans from Premià de Dalt , the children of Negrin .
Together with her husband Albert Roger, she took part in activities of the French resistance , organized intelligence services , arms deliveries and the documentation of Nazi crimes. She also took care of shelter for political refugees. She was denounced by a pharmacist from Sarlat-la-Canéda , arrested together with her husband in 1943, imprisoned and mistreated in Limoges , deported to Ravensbrück in February 1944 and then to Holleischen , subcamp of the Flossenbürg concentration camp . There she had to do forced labor in the armaments industry and was part of the Comando de las gandulas , a group of women who boycotted the manufacture of ammunition, produced around 10 million damaged loads and repeatedly brought the ammunition factory to a standstill through sabotage. Her first husband was murdered in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp .

She lived in Sarcelles near Paris and was chairwoman of the Association of Victims of the Ravensbrück Concentration Camp.
