geography
course
As the Rückersbach, it rises in the Engelsbrunnen , between Hörstein and Hohl on the Rabengrundkopf (395 m). After its source, the Rückersbach flows through a narrow gorge between Stempelhöhe and Schützberg in the Alzenauer Oberwald until it leaves the forest on Schlossberg in Wasserlos .
He feeds some fish ponds in the valley below the vineyards and used to run the castle mill there . Now he reaches the castle park on the site of today's Alzenau district hospital , which is partly located in the building of the former Wasserlos Castle . The Rückersbach flows through two small ponds in this park, which has an exotic population of trees (e.g. sequoia trees ) and also serves as a feed line for a fountain . Then it leaves the castle park and is completely piped in Wasserlos.
After it comes to light again at the end of the village, at the upper end of the so-called Neuwiese, it bears the name Neuwiesenbach . This is reinforced there by the small tributary Esbisgraben , which comes from the foot of the Schanzenkopf . The Neuwiesenbach now flows through the meadow landscape and then reaches the urban area of Alzenau. It crosses under the State Road 3202 and flows into the Kahl at the Generations Park .
