New York, Rio, Rosenheim is the sixth studio album by the band Sportfreunde Stiller . It was released on May 24, 2013.

background

The album title is deliberately based on the song New York - Rio - Tokyo by Trio Rio from 1986. The band said that Rosenheim was "much more attractive" than Tokyo . "Rosenheim is already there as a picture, it belongs to Munich , but it is more conservative, maybe a bit more stuffy." The title piece calls for people to come out of themselves and to feel connected to others, even if you live in a small town .
