The Nexus 7 (2013) (ASUS-1A019A) is the second generation of a line of tablet computers that was introduced by Google together with the Android version 4.3 Jelly Bean on July 24, 2013. Among other things, it has a more powerful processor, a higher-resolution screen and supports LTE . It was available in the United States in 16 and 32 GB since July 26, 2013. The sale in Germany took place since August 28, 2013.

Just like its predecessor Nexus 7 (2012) (and all other devices in the Nexus series ), the tablet was produced by a manufacturer for Android devices, in this case Asus , but sold by Google itself.

Innovations

The case was still made of black plastic, but lighter and thinner. The device was, like its predecessor, made by Asus and had a underclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 - SoC , but which officially S4 Pro was called Snapdragon. The RAM has been doubled to 2 GB. The display has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 at 323 ppi. The Nexus 7 has a 5- megapixel camera on the back and a 1.2-megapixel camera on the front. Among other things , it supports LTE , inductive charging and has stereo speakers. It was the first device to be shipped with Android 4.3.

variants

On December 10, 2013, Google presented a white version of the Nexus 7. However, this was originally only planned for Great Britain, Japan and the USA. Asus Benelux announced the white version for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg on February 7, 2014 via Facebook.
