Nicandro Breeveld (born October 7, 1986 in Paramaribo , Suriname ) is a Dutch football player . The defensive midfielder has been under contract with Omonia Nicosia in the Cypriot First Division since the beginning of 2017 .

Career

Breeveld's career began in 2006 with FC Omniworld in the Dutch Eerste Divisie . With the team he always placed himself in the lower half of the table. After two years he moved to league competitor Stormvogels Telstar . In the 2008/09 season he moved with his team as the period winner in the play-offs, but retired there in the first round.

In 2010, the Romanian first division club Astra Ploieşti Breeveld. There he was not used in the first half of the 2010/11 season and moved to Jiul Petroșani in the League IV of the Hunedoara district in early 2011 . At the end of the season he rose to League III with Jiul. Then took him in the summer of 2011 first division Gaz Metan Mediaș under contract. There he immediately became a regular and secured relegation with his new club in the 2011/12 season. He had previously missed qualifying for the group stage of the Europa League in the play-offs at the start of the season. After a tenth place in the 2012/13 season , he moved to league rival Pandurii Târgu Jiu . A year later, record champions Steaua Bucharest brought him to the capital. There he was in the season 2014/15 the double league and cup final win.

In the summer of 2016, Breeveld left Steaua and joined Dibba al-Fujairah in the UAE Arabian Gulf League . Since only four foreigners are allowed to play there, he lost his license to play during the 2016/17 season . At the beginning of 2017 he moved to Omonia Nicosia in the Cypriot First Division .
