The Paris-based sociologist Lucas is about to complete his doctoral thesis on “Singles in the Country”. In order to be able to finish this work, he travels to the village of his childhood in southwestern France. With the single men living there, he wants to check his theses. But instead he meets his childhood friends Isabelle and Simon again. They were once a couple, even a dream couple for Lucas, before they suddenly split up ten years ago. So he comes up with the plan to bring the two together.
