Nick Copus

Nick Copus (* 4. September 1966 in Hendon , London , England as Nicholas Copus ) is a British television director - producer , screenwriter and cinematographer .

Career

Nick Copus was born in Hendon , a borough of London , in September 1966 . He began his career in 1997 as a cameraman for five documentaries and as a director of various television films . In 2003 and 2005 he directed several episodes of the British soap opera EastEnders and the medical series Holby City . For the documentary series Wettlauf mit dem Tod (2005-2006, 2010-2012) he wrote the scripts for 33 episodes and was involved in 31 episodes as a director and in 18 episodes as a producer. This was followed by episodes for the television series 4400 - The Returners , Painkiller Jane , The Dresden Files and Dead Zone , before staging the two miniseries Virus - Death Knows No Limits (2008) and The Triffids - Plants of Terror (2009). For Virus , he was nominated for Best Direction in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series at the 2010 Gemini Awards and was nominated for Best Director in a TV Movie / Mini-Series by the Directors Guild of Canada. In 2011, he directed the disaster film Ice - The Day the World Freezes to death and produced and directed several episodes of the science fiction series Alphas, broadcast by Syfy .

Most recently, he was a director on the series Nikita (2010-2013), Supernatural , The Secret Circle (both 2012), Arrow and Revolution (both 2013).
