Nickelodeon Canada is the Canadian branch of the US broadcaster Nickelodeon . It started on November 2, 2009 and replaced the Discovery Kids channel, which was also aimed at children. As with the original station, Nickelodeon Canada shows many real series and few cartoon series. Although a Nickelodeon has been launched in Canada, a program window will continue to be shown on sister stations YTV and Treehouse . It is also the second channel in Canada, alongside CMT Canada , broadcast by Corus Entertainment under license from Viacom .
