Nico Josef Zitek

Nico Josef Zitek (* 1976 in Aachen ) is a German actor .

Life

Nico Josef Zitek is the grandson of the Czech actor Josef Zitek ( Prague National Theater ). He completed his acting training from 1997 to 2000 at the state-recognized Stage & Musical School in Frankfurt am Main . This is followed by engagements at various theaters, including a. at the Schauspielhaus Frankfurt (2000/01 season), at the Frankfurt Cellar Theater (2001) and at the Berlin Schillertheater (2004/05 season). At the Frankfurt theater he played a. a. Protasius in purgatory in Ingolstadt and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet . In later years he toured several times as an actor at Hazy Hartlieb's "Krimidinner" theater events .

Since 2005 he has been in front of the camera in various cinema and television productions. Zitek made his cinema debut in 2007 with the 2011 drama Testing Life . He had other cinema roles in the horror thriller Tortura (2008), in the fantasy film Abaron (2009) and in the German-Turkish love story Zeit der Olive (2012). He played a leading role as the husband of the protagonist Vera ( Lea Faßbender ) in the mystery thriller Veras Mantel (2015) by the Austrian director Ronald Unterberger .

He played in various TV productions, including a. in the fairy tale film The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs (2009, as "First Vassal"), in the television series Lasko - Die Faust Gottes (2010), in the autism drama Der kalte Himmel (2011), in Rote Rosen (2013, with Barbara Lanz as a partner), in the ZDF three-parter Ku'damm 59 (2018), in the television film Real Farmers sing better (2019, as Pfleger Malte) and in the TV comedy Mein Vater, der Camper (2019).

He has worked in various short films as well as in advertising and image films (including West German casinos , Daimler Financial Services , Opel Germany , Gösser ). He also works as a dubbing and radio play speaker .

Nico Josef Zitek trained as a diving instructor from 2016-2017 . He is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS) and has lived in Berlin since 2004 .
