Nicoleta Luca-Meițoiu (born May 24, 1969 in Iași ) is a Romanian pianist .

Life

Studies

Nicoleta Luca-Meițoiu completed her musical training at the Octav Băncilă Art School in Iași with Marin Pânzaru and then attended the Music Academy in Iași with Ioan Welt and Mircea Dan Răducanu as well as the National Music University Bucharest with Gabriel Amiraş and Viniciu Moroianu.

In 1993 she took part in the master class of the German pianist Wolfgang Wagenhäuser in Bucharest and Aurich . Furthermore, she received additional suggestions from the British pianist Martin Hughes, professor at the Berlin University of the Arts .

Artistic career

In 1987 she made her debut with Concerto No. 1 in C major by Ludwig van Beethoven together with the Philharmonie Moldova Iași , conductor George Vintila. She was then invited to give concerts with the Romanian Philharmonic in Sibiu , Bacău , Ploieşti , Botoşani , Râmnicu Vâlcea . She took part in concerts under the leadership of well-known Romanian and foreign conductors such as Petre Sbârcea , Ovidiu Bălan , Neale Bartee (USA), Roberto Misto (Italy), Octav Calleya (Spain), Arild Andersen (Norway) and performed as a soloist in the Concert halls of Bucharest such as Bucharest Athenaeum , National Art Museum of Romania , Cotroceni Castle , George Enescu Museum.

As a soloist, she has been invited to perform with various chamber orchestras abroad, such as in New York in Carnegie Hall ( Isaac Stern Auditorium), Chicago (Chicago Historical Society), Detroit , in Canada ( Ottawa ) but also in Australia , then in Germany (in Berlin Philharmonic Chamber Music Hall and in Munich ), in Italy ( Rome , in Piazza del Popolo and at the Academia di Romania), in Israel ( Tel Aviv , Haifa and Jerusalem ), in the Czech Republic (in the Congress Hall - Prague ), in Bulgaria (as a soloist with the Philharmonic from Vidin ), Republic of Moldova (solo piano concert at the Music Academy in Chișinău ).

She played numerous concerts with the world-famous pan flutist Gheorghe Zamfir .

Many of her performances have been broadcast on international television and radio stations.

  • Bianca Prize (at the Mihail Jora competition)

  • Prize for piano accompaniment Lisette Georgescu (at the Mihail Jora competition) in 2005
