Oelsnitz-Niegeroda is a district of Lampertswalde , Saxony in the district of Meißen . In 1990 the formerly independent municipality had 342 inhabitants.

history

The first documentary mention is dated to the year 1220 when the Lampertswald church was handed over by the margrave from the Naumburg diocese to the diocese of Meißen. At that time a village with a church already existed. In 1298 the knight Ulrich von Olsnitz ( Ulricus miles dictus Olsnitz ) witnessed an enfeoffment to Meissen.

In 1446 the six von Betschitz brothers were enfeoffed with the village and the estate , probably because the von Olsnitz family had died out. In 1508 the von Wolfsdorf family sold their property in Oelsnitz (some goods) to the Prior zu Hain. In 1537 Oelsnitz and the estate belonged to the Kraków family , and in 1564 the estate and village of Oelsnitz were sold to Haubold von Maltiz . The von Maltitz had their seat in Elsterwerda , and after the death of Hans von Maltitz left the estate to the tenant Hollisch, a citizen from Hain.

In 1609 Mattheußen, innkeeper and council administrator from Hain, bought the indebted estate and village from the Maltitz family. In 1621 the Vorwerk Oelsnitz had to do the guard "uffs Schloß Hain" with three others. In the years from 1637 to 1644 the estate was completely desolate and deserted because the village was badly affected during the Thirty Years War , especially during the siege of Grossenhain in 1642 by Swedish troops. After the Swedish invasion of Saxony under Charles XII. camped a Swedish corps in Oelsnitz in 1706 , so that the Oelsnitzer had to pay 3000 guilders Swedish contribution the following year .

In 1721 the windmill was put back into operation; In the years to come, the property changed hands several times: in 1748, after an auction, the property came into the possession of Master Johann Christian Bürger, pastor of Bernsdorf. Two years later, in 1750, the estate was sold to Mrs. Christiane Margarete von Walter, widow of Hofrat Leopold von Walter in Dresden, in 1805 to the tenant of the Linz manor , Johann Gottlob Sommer, in 1807 to Privy Councilor Count Ernst Heinrich von Hagen and in 1817 to Prime Lieutenant Moritz Ferdinand von Gabelenz auctioned.

A schoolhouse was built in 1818. Until then, the children had to attend classes in Skäßchen , where there was only one classroom in the restaurant that was next to what would later become the school. In 1838, Dr. Gley took possession of the manor, the following year the hereditary judge Stölzel. In 1852 almost all of Oelsnitz burned down; from 1858 Konstantien Sauber owned the estate, and in 1877 a new school was built. In 1892 Richard Leuthold from Dresden bought the manor, who managed it until the foreclosure auction in 1933. The manor Oelsnitz had a cheese dairy at the beginning of the 20th century.

In 1912 the village was electrified. In 1933 Margarete Thost bought the estate, and two years later the farmer Köhler; Oelsnitz is now getting street lighting. On January 1, 1973, the rural community of Oelsnitz-Niegeroda emerged from the merger of the two previously independent localities; In 1994 the double town was incorporated into Weißig am Raschütz. With the dissolution of the municipality of Weißig am Raschütz, Oelsnitz-Niegeroda came to Lampertswalde on January 1, 2012.

In 2008 urn graves from the Young Bronze Age were discovered in Oelsnitz .
