Niewodnica ( German  Fischbach ) is the unofficial name of a local authority in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . It belongs to the village Staniewo ( German  Ottoswalde ) within the Gmina Reszel ( urban and rural community Rößel ) in the powiat Kętrzyński (district Rastenburg ).

Geographical location

The local office is located east of the Deine or Heiligelinder lake ( Polish Jezioro Dejnowa ) in the northern center of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship , twelve kilometers southwest of the district town of Kętrzyn (Rastenburg) .

history

The former Fischbach consisted of a few large and small farms. It was a residential area of the East Prussian community of Pülz ( Pilec in Polish ) in the Rastenburg district . Initially called the mill owner's paper factory, Stechern , from 1836 it was called “Papierfabrik (Ober) Pülz” to distinguish it from the mill owner's paper mill, Tiburtius . From August 11, 1846, the name “Fischbach” was in use.

The small Gut Fischbach had an area of 145 hectares. From 1913 to 1945 it was owned by Anton Drengk . The arable area was 102 hectares. The property included 22 horses, 85 cattle, 50 pigs and 20 sheep.

In 1885 there were 66 inhabitants registered in Fischbach, in 1905 there were already 78 inhabitants.

With the whole of southern East Prussia , Fischbach was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war and received the Polish form of the name “Niewodnica”. As a local office, Niewodnica is now part of Staniewo (Ottoswalde) within the urban and rural community of Reszel (Rößel) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then part of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

church

Until 1945 Fischbach was parish in the Protestant church Bäslack in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church Heiligelinde in the then diocese of Warmia . Today Niewodnica belongs to the Protestant parish Kętrzyn in the Masuria diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland , and also to the Catholic parish Święta Lipka in the current Archdiocese of Warmia in the Polish Catholic Church .
