Nicole Marie Phillips (* 23. May 1987 in Ridgewood , New Jersey as Nicole Marie Krzysik ) is a Polish - American football player .
Career
society
While still in school and studying at the University of Virginia , Phillips played sporadically for the W-League participants New Jersey Lady Stallions , New York Magic , Jersey Sky Blue and Richmond Kickers Destiny . For the inaugural season of the newly founded WPS she was drafted by the Chicago Red Stars and played there in 14 league games before switching to league rivals Philadelphia Independence for two seasons . After the dissolution of the WPS just before the 2012 season, Phillips moved to the WPSL elite participant New York Fury .
In early 2013, she was committed to the newly founded NWSL in the first round in second place by Seattle Reign FC in the so-called Supplemental Draft , but decided against Seattle and instead ran for the WPSL franchise of the San Diego SeaLions . In October 2013 she moved, also on loan, to the Champions League participant Apollon Limassol and made her debut there on October 10 in the first round match against SV Neulengbach . For the 2014 season she signed a contract with FC Kansas City , with which she won the championship title at the end of the season. In the 2015 season, she took a career break.
National team
Phillips was a member of various US youth national teams and took part in the 2004 U-19 World Cup and the 2006 U-20 World Cup. On September 21, 2013, she made her debut in the qualification for the 2015 World Cup in the away game against Sweden in the Polish national team .
