Niklas Jakusch (2015)

Niklas Jakusch (born December 20, 1989 in Bad Segeberg ) is a German football player in the position of goalkeeper . He will play for the U23 of the second division Holstein Kiel from the 2019/20 season .

Career

Jakusch had played for the youth teams of TSV Kronshagen until 1997 , before he was active for ten years in the youth of the largest Schleswig-Holstein football club, Holstein Kiel . Until January 2008 he also played in the second Holstein team. From 2008 to mid-2009 he played for the lower-class SC Comet Kiel , which was followed by two years at VfR Neumünster .

From July 2011 the goalkeeper was again under contract with Holstein Kiel. Here he was a substitute goalkeeper behind Morten Jensen and occasionally represented him, including in the relegation games for the third division against KSV Hessen Kassel in the 2012/13 season . Holstein rose to the third division after relegation. For the 2013/14 season , goalkeeper Morten Jensen left Kiel and was replaced by Maximilian Riedmüller , so that Jakusch was again a substitute behind Riedmüller. On November 14, 2013, Riedmüller broke his finger during training, whereupon Jakusch initially stood in for him until the winter break and stayed in goal even after Riedmüller returned. In the 2014/15 season he lost his regular place in goal to the new signing Kenneth Kronholm . Nevertheless, he extended his contract term with the Kiel team until June 2017. When Holstein Kiel loaned Robin Zentner from 1. FSV Mainz 05 for the 2015/16 season , Jakusch was the third goalkeeper.

Jakusch moved to FC 08 Homburg during the summer break of 2016 . There he immediately became a goalkeeper and played 34 games in the Regionalliga Südwest . However, he could not prevent relegation to the league. His contract expired at the end of the 2016/17 season. After half a year without a club, he joined TuS Erndtebrück from the Regionalliga West in January 2018 and immediately became a regular goalkeeper. Despite excellent performances Jakusch could not avert relegation to the league. Since the 2018/2019 season he has been guarding the gate of the Alemannia from Aachen, where he signed a one-year contract. On May 26, 2019, the goalkeeper announced that he would return to his old place of work for the new season in a double function as goalkeeper and at the same time goalkeeping coach of the second representative of his home club Holstein Kiel. The day before he won the Middle Rhine Cup final with Alemannia against Fortuna from Cologne 3-1.
