Nikolai Nikolajewitsch Kudrjawzew ( Russian: Николай Николаевич Кудрявцев ; born May 8, 1950 in Moscow ) is a Russian physicist and university professor .

Life

Kudrjawzew studied 1967-1973 at the Faculty of Molecular and Chemical Physics of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MFTI) specializing in the physics and mechanics of chemical processes. In 1977 he defended his dissertation on the measurement of the fluctuating temperatures of CO 2 in gas lasers for his doctorate as a candidate in physical-mathematical sciences . He then worked as an assistant at the chair for molecular physics. In 1978 he became Vice Dean of the Faculty of Molecular and Chemical Physics. In 1987 he defended his dissertation on the heat protection of the space shuttle Buran for a doctorate in physical-mathematical sciences .

Kudrjawzew's main research interests included chemical gas-dynamic lasers , gas-dynamic processes in supersonic gas flows and shock waves, and the radiation of non-equilibrium plasmas .

In 1987 Kudrjawzew became dean of the Faculty of Molecular and Chemical Physics at the MFTI. Since 1988 he has headed the chair for molecular physics. In 1990 he was appointed professor . In November 1991 he founded with other AG laboratory for impulse technique (LIT) on MFTI. He led the development of systems for UV - disinfection . From 1993–1997 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation Bank for Innovation and Development. In 1994 he was elected general director of AG Lit-Fonon of the Ministry of Defense Industry , which is an important developer of piezo technology . In 1997 he was elected Rector of the MFTI to succeed Nikolai Wassiljewitsch Karlov , with re-election in 2002, 2007 and 2012. In 2003 he was elected a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN). In 2007 he was elected to the board of directors of the Schlumberger oil service company .

In September 2016, Kudryavtsev was the unified Russia party representative in the parliamentary elections in Russia in 2016 .
