description

The original church , a hall church with a choir tower, is of Romanesque origin. Around 1600 the apse was replaced by a rectangular extension. At the beginning of the 18th century the nave was largely renewed and a hipped roof was added . The interior has two-story galleries between the choir arch and the triumphal arch .

The church has not been used since 1975 because it was in disrepair . The baroque dome of the choir tower was torn down in 1984 and replaced with a temporary flat roof. In the years after the turn of the millennium, the church was extensively restored. Today there is a hall in the church tower as a church service room , the nave serves as the village community center . There are glass doors between the two rooms. The organ with 18 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built in 1721 by Johann Georg Schröter and rebuilt in 1900 by Albin Hickmann.
