Nikolaj Boschanow ( Bulgarian Николай Божанов ; born December 6, 1994 ) is a Bulgarian ice hockey player who has been under contract with SK Irbis-Skate in the Bulgarian Ice Hockey League since 2017 .

Career

Nikolaj Boschanow comes from the youth department of Akademika Sofia . At the age of 15 he made his debut at HK Slawia Sofia in the Bulgarian ice hockey league and immediately became national champion and cup winner with the Bulgarian record champion. He then switched to local competitor HK ZSKA Sofia , with whom he was again able to win the double of the national championship and cup victory in 2013 and 2014.

International

In the junior division, Boschanow was on the ice for the Bulgarian team at the U-18 World Championships in 2010 , 2011 and 2012 and the U20 juniors in 2011 , 2013 and 2014 .

With the men's national team , Boschanov took part in the World Championships of Division II in 2013 and 2015 , when he was voted the best player of his team, and Division III in 2014 and 2018 . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
