Nikolaus von Wallwitz

Nikolaus Heinrich Viktor Graf von Wallwitz (born December 5, 1852 in Dresden , Kingdom of Saxony , † March 12, 1941 in the Schönfeld hunting lodge , Belgard an der Persante district ) was a German diplomat with the rank of envoy .

Life

Nikolaus Graf von Wallwitz was a son-in-law of Bernhard von Bülow . From 1890 to 1893 he was Minister-Resident of the German Empire in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and from 1893 to 1896 he was the German Empire's envoy in Tehran . From 1896 to 1897 he was the Prussian envoy in Hamburg , but then returned to the foreign service of the Empire, from 1897 to 1901 as envoy in Stockholm and 1901 to 1909 in Brussels . In 1909 he left the diplomatic service.
