Noel Bruynooghe (born April 18, 1971 ) is a Belgian pool player .

Career

In 2008 Bruynooghe reached fifth place at the Open Weert and ninth place at the 2009 Benelux Open. After he had failed several times before, he managed to reach the finals of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time at the Netherlands Open in 2009 . In the sixteenth finals he lost against the German Ralf Mund 6: 9. In 2010 he finished 17th at the Predator International 10-Ball Tour tournament in Spain. At the European Championships he came in 8-ball and 10-ball on 65th place, in 9-ball he only finished 97th. At the World Pool Masters 2010 he was eliminated without a win in the preliminary round. He finished the Benelux Open 2010 in 13th place.

In 2011 Bruynooghe finished ninth at the Paris Open. At the German Open he made it to the round of 16, but lost against the Englishman Karl Boyes 3: 8. At the Treviso Open he reached the quarterfinals. He lost this against the later finalist, the Spaniard David Alcaide , 6: 9. At the EM 2012 he reached the 33rd place in 14/1 . In 8-ball and 10-ball he came in 65th place, in 9-ball on 97th place.

In 2013 Bruynooghe finished fifth in the 9-ball tournament of the Deurne City Classic. At the North Cyprus Open he was eliminated in the round of 32 against the Italian Bruno Muratore 5-9 . In 2014 he won the Relay Open. At the Deurne City Classic in 2014, he finished 33rd in 9-ball.

Brunooghe has taken part in the World Cup of Pool three times with Serge Das . In 2007 they reached the quarter-finals, but lost 4: 9 against Canada. In 2008 they were eliminated in the round of 16 against Austria ( Martin Kempter and Jasmin Ouschan ) 6-8 . In 2010 there was a first-round defeat against eventual winners China ( Li Hewen and Fu Jianbo ). In 2009 and 2012 Bruynooghe reached ninth place at the European Championships with the Belgian team.

Bruynooghe currently lives in Ghent .
