Noit Banai

Noit Banai (* 1973 ) is an American art historian .

Life

She earned a BA in English Literature from Rutgers University in May 1996, a Diploma in French Literature and Cultural Studies from Paris IV University in 1997, an MA in Art History & Archeology from Columbia University in 1999, an M.Phil. 2001 Art History & Archeology, Columbia University and a Ph.D. Art History & Archeology, Columbia University, 2007 (Dissertation: Public Disorder: Yves Klein , 1945–1962) supervised by John Rajchman . She was a reader from 1999 to 2000. She was a research fellow with David Freedberg at Columbia University from 2000 to 2001. She has been a professor of contemporary art at the University of Vienna since 2014 .
