action

In the middle of the night, bloodied, confused and French-speaking anthropologist Jean-Charles Pommier is admitted to the emergency room of a hospital in the city of Los Angeles in the US state of California. Although the completely overworked doctor on duty, Dr. Eileen Flax takes care of the wounded eccentric, who dies a short time later. Shortly before his death, he whispers something incomprehensible in the doctor's ear and at the same time bites her neck. After receiving medical attention, the shocked doctor drives home, but soon realizes that something is wrong with her. Flax has since been plagued by visions from the life of the deceased patient, which give her an insight into the last days of his life and lead to the time of death.

She begins research and goes to the places she sees in her visions. She soon finds out that the well-known married scientist was on to something very strange, namely the existence of "nomads", evil Eskimo spirits between space and time. These ominous creatures in human form, appearing in different worlds, once drove the hallucinatory anthropologist to his death because he could not escape them.

The attractive doctor, who is slowly becoming mad, wakes up one day in Niki Pommier's bedroom. After she was able to reconstruct the last hours in the scientist's life, the two women flee from the nomads, who reveal themselves to be leather-wearing freaks . On their escape, they reach the California border when they are overtaken by a mysterious motorcyclist who has the human form of the late Jean-Charles Pommier. Flax looks once more wistfully into the undead's face, but without stopping and continuing her journey to an unknown destination.

Reviews

“Mostly uninteresting psychological horror film with set pieces from the road movie and zombie motifs. Depth is faked, whereby the tension falls by the wayside. "
