Norbert Kückelmann

Norbert Kückelmann (born May 1, 1930 in Munich ; † August 31, 2017 ) was a German film director , lawyer and author .

biography

Norbert Kückelmann studied law in the 1950s. During his student days he worked as a film critic for the radio. In 1957 he passed the state examination and then worked as a lawyer in Munich and Mainz . Through his work as a critic he was connected to the Munich film scene. In 1965 he founded the Young German Film Board of Trustees with Alexander Kluge and Hans Rolf Strobel . He continued to work as a lawyer even when he made his first feature film in 1972.

In 1974 he and Peter Lilienthal founded the Film and TV Authors GmbH , which from then on produced his films.

Norbert Kückelmann was the brother of the actress Gertrud Kückelmann . Since 1968 he was married to the author Dagmar Kekulé .

His archive is located in the archive of the Academy of Arts in Berlin.
