Sweden took part in the Nordic World Ski Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo in 1927 with a delegation of 4 athletes.

With John Lindgren, the Swedish participants made double world champion in the two cross-country skiing competitions over 18 and 50 km and with Tore Edman the world champion in ski jumping . In addition to the first three places, John Wikström also won the silver medal over 50 km and Bertil Carlson the bronze medal in ski jumping . No Swedish participant was left without a medal. The Swedes were only unsuccessful in the Nordic combined . Here it was only enough to ranks 12 and 13 through Carlsson and Edman.
