Norital
Norital (also: Nurihtal, Vallis Norica, Orital, Ourital, Ovrital ) is an old common name for the Inntal between the Melach and Ziller estuaries , the Wipptal and the Eisack valley and part of the Gadertal ; it formed a county in the Middle Ages .
From the 12th century , the Norital was combined with the Vinschgau (west of South Tyrol ) and the Passeier (north of Meran ) to form the County of Tyrol .
Counts in the Norital were:
- Welf II. († 1030), Count of Altdorf, in the Inntal and Norital
- Hartwig from the Sieghardinger family , Bishop of Brixen 1022-1039, was enfeoffed with the Nori Valley in 1027 by Emperor Konrad II ; In the same year he passed the administration of the Norital on to his brother Engelbert
- Engelbert IV. († 1040), Count in Pustertal , Norital and Lavanttal
- Adalbert I of Eurasburg († 1100), Count in the Norital
- Adalbert I († 1125), his son, Count of Tyrol
