Nossa Senhora do Socorro , officially Município de Nossa Senhora do Socorro , is a city in the Brazilian state of Sergipe and belongs to the Aracaju metropolitan area . At the 2010 census it had about 160,800 inhabitants on an area of ​​157.515 km². As of July 1, 2019, the population was estimated at 183,628 inhabitants, called Socorrenser ( socorrenses ).

location

The place is at the junction of the BR-101 with the state road SE-432 , about 8 km northwest of the center of Aracaju . It is 20 km to the Atlantic in the east.
