Noureddine Bedoui
Noureddine Bedoui ( Arabic نور الدين بدوي, DMG Nūr ad-Dīn Badawī ; * December 22, 1959 in Aïn Taya ) is an Algerian politician. He was Algerian Prime Minister from March 11, 2019 to December 19, 2019.
biography
Noureddine Bedoui was born on December 22nd, 1959 in Ain Taya in the province of Algiers to a family from Ouargla . In 1985 Bedoui went to the École Nationale d'Administration (ENA) and then took on various administrative tasks in the service of the government. He was also General Secretary of Oran Province before being appointed Chairman Head of Wilaya (Provinces) Sidi Bel Abbès , Bordj Bou Arreridj , Setif and finally Constantine , where he served as Wali (Governor).
On September 11, 2013, he was appointed Minister of Education and Training. On May 14, 2015, he was promoted to Minister of the Interior. On March 11, 2019, following the resignation of Ahmed Ouyahia and the withdrawal of Abdelaziz Bouteflika following mass demonstrations, he was named Prime Minister of the country. Since he was an established part of the political class, his appointment sparked protests. Numerous opposition politicians refused to be represented in his cabinet. On December 19, 2019, the Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune appointed Sabri Boukadoum as the new Acting Prime Minister.
