Sid Ahmed Ghozali

Sid Ahmed Ghozali ( Arabic سيد أحمد غزالي, DMG Saiyid Aḥḥmad Ġazālī ); (Born March 31, 1937 in Marnia , Algeria ) is a former Algerian politician.

Ghozali belonged to the National Liberation Front (FLN) and was a close confidante of the former President Chadli Bendjedid . In 1988 he took over the post of finance minister, in 1989 he became foreign minister and in 1991 Bendjedid appointed him prime minister of Algeria.

Even after Benjamin's resignation in January 1992 and the military seizure of power , Ghozali initially remained in office, but resigned in July of the same year, shortly after the assassination of President Muhammad Boudiaf .
