Nova Bukovica is a village and a municipality in the Virovitica-Podravina County in Croatia in the historical Slavonia region . In the 2001 census, the community had 2,096 inhabitants, 81.15% of whom were Croatians and 14.60% Serbs . The village alone had 872 inhabitants. In the 2011 census, the community had 1,771 inhabitants, 84.53% of them Croatians and 13.83% Serbs. The village alone has 802 inhabitants.
geography
Nova Bukovica is located on the national road D2 and southeast about 7 km from Slatina and 39 from Virovitica . About 20 km to the north is the Drava , which forms the border river to Hungary . Another 6 km southeast is the neighboring municipality of Mikleuš and 39 km away is Našice , the closest town in the neighboring Osijek-Baranja County .
