Administrative division
The Hungarian part of the country including Transylvania has been divided into the following seven areas since 1876:
- Part of the country to the left of the Danube (Duna bal partja)
- Part of the country to the right of the Danube (Duna jobb partja)
- Part of the country between Danube and Tisza (Duna-Tisza köze)
- Part of the country to the right of the Tisza (Tisza jobb partja)

- Tisza-Maros-Winkel (Tisza-Maros szöge)
- Beyond the king walkway (Királyhágóntúl) , svw. Transylvania
in addition there were the city of Fiume and the region (as corpus separatum ) and the kingdom of Croatia and Slavonia
