The Tolna (German also Tolna county ; Hungarian vármegye Tolna , Latin comitatus Tolnensis ) was a historic administrative unit (county / county) in the Kingdom of Hungary .
The area is located in today's central Hungary on the area of today's Tolna County .
location
The county bordered on Somogy , Wesprim ( Veszprém ), Weißenburg ( Fejér ), Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun and Baranya counties . The Danube formed its southern border .
history
The county was established in the 11th century and existed in this form until the major county reform in 1950. See further under Tolna county .
