The Fejér County ( Hungarian vármegye Fejér , Latin comitatus Albensis ) was a historic administrative unit (county / county) in the Kingdom of Hungary .

The area lies in today's central Hungary on the area of ​​today's Fejér county , but was somewhat smaller than what is still in existence today.

County bordering on the counties County Veszprém (Veszprém) , Komárom County (Komárom) , Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun and Tolna . It was southwest of Budapest , and its eastern border was the Danube .

history

The county was established in the 11th century and existed in this form until the major county reform in 1950. In the 17th century, only the Solt region became part of Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun county . In 1950, the southeastern region on Lake Balaton (around the town of Enying ) from Veszprém county was added to the area, the town of Érd and its surroundings went to Pest county .
