The Oakland Oaks were an American ice hockey franchise of the Pacific Coast Hockey League based in Oakland , California .

history

The club was founded for the 1944/45 season as a franchise of the Pacific Coast Hockey League . In their first two seasons, they finished first in their division after the regular season, but then could not prevail in the playoffs for the Lester Patrick Cup , the championship title of the PCHL. In December 1949, the Oakland Oaks stopped playing prematurely during the 1949/50 season .
