Oberdambach is a scattered settlement in the cadastral parish of St. Christophen in the municipality of Neulengbach . There are currently 8 houses in Oberdambach. Oberdambach is located on the upper part of the Dambach, which flows into the Laabenbach at Unterdambach . Due to the proximity to 3061 Ollersbach , this postcode was also assigned to Oberdambach; mail has always been delivered by Ollersbach. Oberdambach was first mentioned in 1361 as Obern Tannpach. The Tannbach comes, as the name suggests, from the Tann = forest. Through the sound conversion from T to D and the assimilation of np to mb, today's spelling was created.

Oberdambach is not a village, but a former rural scattered settlement with currently 8 private houses that are scattered around. There is also no infrastructure of its own. There is no public sewer connection and no public water supply. Church affiliation and polling station is in Ollersbach.
