Schrabatz belonged to the municipality of Tausendblum , which was attached to Neulengbach in 1972 and was a village in the municipality of Neulengbach in Lower Austria until 2019 . Around 1820 Schrabatz consisted of 4 farms, around 1870 of 5 (Schrabatzstraße 11-14).
The Rotte is located west of Neulengbach on a hill between the Dambach and the Seebach and today forms a contiguous residential area with Schönfeld . On this flat ridge, there has often been a strong blurring of the subsoil by flyschlehm . In a small sand pit below Schrabatz, west of Laa an der Tulln , 80 cm of red fly slime was observed over yellow Melker sand .
History of the place name: Documented 1438 as Strayparz, 1446 Schrotparz, 1515/25 Schraipacz, 1555 Schraitparz, 1591 Schrapatz. Extensive hill is to be assumed as the original meaning .
