Obergegend is a place and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of St. Veit an der Gölsen in the Lilienfeld district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 34 building areas with 22,258 m² and 45 gardens on 138,201 m² in the cadastral municipality Obergegend , in 1989/1990 there were 34 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 122 and in 2009/2010 there were 61 buildings on 126 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 178 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 129 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 168 hectares and 140 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 164 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 139 hectares. The average soil climate number of the upper area is 30.2 (as of 2010).
