geography
On the left bank of the Saar, opposite the city of Dillingen / Saar, rises a peninsula-like mountain range made of red sandstone , the Limberg , which is in front of the Saargau . In the middle it reaches a height of 340 meters. The moat to the west of Oberlimberg was called "Landgraben" in the last century. A restaurant in the center of Oberlimberg also bears this name. The place can be reached either from the Wallerfangen district (extended Kirchhofstrasse) or from the Gisingen district (Oberlimberger Weg). The landscape protection areas Limberg and Sonnental surrounding the place invite you to go hiking with their extensive network of paths.
