Obermeiser is a village in the northern Hessian district of Kassel and has been part of the municipality of Calden since the Hessian regional reform . The heat flows through Obermeiser .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1019, when it was handed over to the Kaufungen monastery in a deed of donation from Emperor Heinrich II ("talia predia, qualia in Eskeberge ac Meiskere villis in pago Hassia"). After the place had belonged to the Schartenberg rule in the Middle Ages , it came under the feudal supervision of the von Spiegel until 1803 .

After the administrative reform of the Electorate of Hesse , Obermeiser belonged to the former Hofgeismar district from 1821 .

In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , Obermeiser was incorporated into the municipality of Calden on August 1, 1972 by virtue of state law. This involved moving to the newly created district of Kassel.

Culture
