Obi Ikechukwu Charles (born January 2, 1985 ) is a Nigerian football player .

Career

Obi Ikechukwu Charles played for the Finnish club PK-35 Vantaa until the end of 2016 . It is not known where he played before. The club from Vantaa played in the second Finnish division, the Ykkönen . At the beginning of 2017 he moved to Malaysia for six months . Here he signed a contract with the Sabah FA . With the club from Sabah he played in the second division of the country, the Malaysia Premier League . In July 2007 he went back to Europe . Here he joined the Boavista Porto , who played in the first division, the Primeira Liga , in Portugal . For the club from Porto , he completed three top division games. At the end of the season Porto was relegated to the second division. In mid-2008 he left Portugal and went to Cyprus . Here he signed a one-year contract with Doxa Katokopia in Katokopia . After the end of his contract, he signed a contract with KS Flamurtari Vlora in 2009 . The club from the Albanian Vlora played in the highest league in the country, theategoria Superiore . He moved to Asia via FC Suðuroy , a club in the Faroe Islands , in mid-2010 . In Myanmar , the first division team Yangon United signed him. With the club from Rangoon he played in the first division, the Myanmar National League . After a year he signed league competitor Kanbawza FC . In 2011 he was the top scorer in the league with 18 goals . In 2012 he was runner-up with Kanbawza FC and was in the final of General Aung San Shield . Here they lost 1-0 to Ayeyawady United . In 2013 he went to the second division UiTM FC in Shah Alam for two years . In mid-2015 he went back to Finland. Here he joined the Helsinki third division club Atlantis FC . In July he went back to Malaysia. Here he played for the second division club Sime Darby FC in the Malaysia Premier League until the end of 2016 . He has been without a contract or association since the beginning of 2017.
