The village of Ochenbruck is part of the community Schwarzenbruck in the district of Nürnberger Land , Middle Franconia / Bavaria .
Geographical location
The village lies on the Schwarzach , which is a right tributary of the Rednitz .
history
There are two theories about place names. The first; the more improbable one; says that Ochenbruck comes from the word Haochabruck (high road bridge). The second, probably the correct one, relates to the first mention of the place in 1322 as Achenbruck . That means bridge over the Schwarze Ache . The important trade route Nuremberg-Neumarkt-Regensburg used to run through Ochenbruck. Therefore, the Seidenschuher family had an iron hammer and an inn built here at the end of the 15th century .
With the opening of the railway station ( railway line Nuremberg – Regensburg ) in 1871, Ochenbruck grew bigger and bigger and Schwarzenbruck got closer together. The town hall of the community of Schwarzenbruck is also located in Ochenbruck today.

The place is on the B 8 , which leads to Feucht to the motorway triangle Nürnberg / Feucht or to Pfeifferhütte . The 2401 state road leads to the B 8 and past Fröschau to Pattenhofen . Communal roads lead to Schwarzenbruck and Rummelsberg .
There is a stop on the S 3 .
