Ochshausen is a part of the municipality of Lohfelden in the Kassel district in northern Hesse .

location

Ochshausen is the northern part of Lohfelden. The district roads 8, 10 and 11 as well as the state road 3203 run through Ochshausen . West of the district, the federal highway 7 and the federal highway 49 meet at the Kassel interchange .

history

Ochshausen is mentioned for the first time in a deed of donation for the Kaufungen monastery in 1102. A first chapel was built in the 11th century. From the 15th century there was a brickworks that primarily delivered to Kassel.

Ochshausen and Crumbach became the new municipality of Lohfelden in 1941, which Vollmarshausen joined as part of the 1970 regional reform.
