Octaviano Pereira de Albuquerque

Octaviano Pereira de Albuquerque (born July 3, 1866 in Canguçu , Rio Grande do Sul , Brazil , † January 3, 1949 ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Campos .

Life

Octaviano Pereira de Albuquerque received on December 8, 1888 sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 2, 1914, Pope Pius X appointed him Bishop of Piauí . The episcopal ordination received his Cardinal Gaetano De Lai , on June 11 the same year. Co- consecrators were the Bishop Emeritus of Belém do Pará , Archbishop Francisco do Rêgo Maia , and the Bishop of Panama , Guillermo Rojas y Arrieta CM . The inauguration in the diocese of Piauí took place on September 24, 1914.

Pope Pius XI appointed him on October 27, 1922 Archbishop of São Luís do Maranhão . On December 16, 1935, he was appointed Bishop of Campos . He continued the title of archbishop as a personal title.
