The Musashi was sunk in the Sibuyan Sea in October 1944, towards the end of the Pacific War . At the beginning of March 2015, Allen discovered the wreck at a depth of about 1000 meters.
In August 2015, the ship's bell of the battle cruiser Hood in the Denmark Strait was recovered with the help of the Octopus , after the recovery failed in a first attempt in 2012.
