Oh, these women (original title: Les femmes , in German : Die Frauen) is a Franco-Italian comedy film by Jean Aurel from 1969 with Maurice Ronet and Brigitte Bardot in the leading roles. The work had its world premiere on November 7, 1969 in France. The first time the film was seen in Germany was on June 5, 1970.
action
The writer Jérôme owes his great success to the women who inspire him to come up with new romance novels. But now he is fed up with the amorous adventures, and his publisher fears that the previously inexhaustible sources will dry up. He therefore gives him the attractive blonde Clara as his secretary on the trip to the country, where he should regain his strength to write. Clara is not only able to type the latest work into the machine, but also to dispel the author's erotic signs of fatigue. The film now tells the journey on the Trans-Europ-Express from Paris to Rome, whereby the plot, which mostly consists of disputes and jealousies between the writer and his secretary, is loosened up by faded in love scenes from the author's past.
criticism
"The film, intended as a comedy, is not one of the strongest works by Jean Aurel (...): clichéd routine entertainment."
“A dreary and lengthy sequence of love and bed scenes in a French film that is only able to surprise with its lack of charm, esprit and wit. Completely superfluous. "
