Olavsrose (cultural heritage)

The Olavsrose is a quality mark awarded by the Norsk Kulturarv Foundation (Norwegian Cultural Heritage) for adventure offers.

The presentation and preservation of a cultural and historical value and how this is conveyed is awarded. The receipt of the award is followed by annual controls and reports. If the requirements are no longer met, the price can be withdrawn again. To receive the award, you have to apply and submit an application. Applications from third parties will not be considered. Once received, the award can be used for profiling and marketing purposes.

The symbol of the award is the Olavsrose , a traditional ornament in Norwegian folk art . The symbol is green and the inscription reads Norsk Kulturarv - Norwegian Heritage . The mark was registered in 1996 as a trademark for Norwegian cultural heritage.

In 2010 over 100 awards were presented. These included cable cars, lighthouses, fishing villages, overnight accommodation, restaurants, alpine huts, historic hotels, fishing huts and old railways. In addition, there were honors relating to industrial history, craft traditions and cultural events.
