The class S 3 of the Grand Ducal Oldenburg State Railways ( class 13.18 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn ) was built on the model of the Prussian S 3 and purchased for the route between Wilhelmshaven , Oldenburg and Bremen . It was the first express train locomotive for the Grand Ducal Oldenburg State Railways and also the first locomotive with a steam dome . It replaced the old P 4 passenger locomotives .

Six machines with the numbers 151–154, 160 and 161 were built by Hanomag in 1903 and 1904 . They differed in some technical details from the Prussian locomotives, but did not yet have the Lentz valve control that was later common in Oldenburg.

The Deutsche Reichsbahn took over all six locomotives with the numbers 13 1801 to 13 1806 and decommissioned them by 1927.
