The vehicles of type T 0 (originally type VIII ) were tank locomotives for the freight train service of the Grand Ducal Oldenburg State Railways . The steam locomotives were specially built for use on branch lines. Its wheel base of 7.70 m enabled speeds of up to 60 km / h. They were much more economical than B-coupled locomotives . Four locomotives were built in 1885 and two in 1891.
