Oleksandr Poliwoda ( Ukrainian Олександр Поливода ; born March 31, 1987 in Charkow ) is a Ukrainian cyclist .

Athletic career

Oleksandr Poliwoda celebrated his first international successes as a junior on the track : in 2004 he became European team pursuit champion with Ihor Malikow , Serhiy Minashkin and Vitaly Schtschedow , and the following year he won silver in scratch at the Junior Track World Championships .

In 2007 Poliwoda received his first contract with the Continental Team ISD-Sport Donetsk and has competed on the road ever since . Until 2016 he won the overall rankings for the Tour of Slovakia (2014), Tour of Mersin and Five Rings of Moscow (2015) and in 2016 for the CCC Tour-Grody Piastowskie . He also won stages in other races.

In 2016 and 2018 he was Ukrainian road racing champion and in 2017 in the individual time trial .
