Olga Konkova ( Russian Ольга Конькова ; born August 25, 1969 in Moscow ) is a Russian jazz pianist .

Konkova had piano lessons from the age of seven and studied classical piano and composition at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow until 1993 . She then studied for two semesters at Berklee College of Music in Boston. In 1994 she moved to Oslo , where she married the bassist Per Mathisen , with whom she also worked in a duo.

She has given concerts in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the USA, Ireland, England, Belgium, France, Russia and Austria and has worked with musicians such as Ralph Peterson , Adam Nussbaum , Gary Husband , Bill Bruford , Alex Sipiagin , Boris Kozlov , Jon Gordon , Marilyn Mazur , Seamus Blake , Magni Wentzel , Jon Christensen , Bobby Shew and Audun Kleive . Since 1996 she has released more than ten albums under her name. She has appeared several times with the Swedish Norrbotten Big Band ; She is also a member of Helge Sonde's Ensemble Denada , with whom she released three albums.
