Oliver Pautsch

Oliver Pautsch (born August 5, 1965 in Hilden ) is a German writer and screenwriter .

Life

Pautsch lives in Hilden with his wife and three children . Since 1994 he has worked as a freelance writer of scripts, plays and short stories in contemporary literature, primarily in the areas of psychodrama, thrillers and detective novels. Since 2003 he has been writing detective novels and non-fiction, mainly youth literature.

The short film A Simple Commission based on its story and screenplay won one of the coveted Student Academy Awards of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1997 . He has also been working as a specialist in transporting pianos and grand pianos since 1986 .

Pautsch studied German and media studies at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and worked in parallel in various professions in film and television productions before he began writing scripts, short stories and plays.

His novel "Der Bruch" about a difficult father-son relationship was put on the list of the "White Ravens 2010", the shortlist of the International Youth Library , Munich.

Since 2007, Pautsch has been committed to promoting reading among children and young people, especially boys, with its events .

In 2010, Oliver Pautsch was the first town clerk of the city of Hilden .
